Anqiu is located in the central part of Shandong peninsula. It is 110 kilometers west to Qingdao city and 200 kilometers east to Jinan, the capital city of Shandong province. The total area of Anqiu city, under which there are 23 townships, is 2010 square kilometers and the population is 1.1 million. Situated at the eastern monsoon part of the warm and temperate zone, the four seasons are clearly demarcated. Within the boundary, plains, hills and mountains cover one third of the total area respectively. Anqiu is affluent in products and minerals. Under ground, various and great amount of non-metal minerals exist. Anqiu has abundant tourism resources and there are many historical scenic spots.
